Work with Legally Fond
Three Ways
to Work Together
Whether you need a structured assessment of your firm's AI readiness, a keynote speaker for your next event, or a bespoke training programme for your team — Legally Fond delivers practical, accountable AI guidance for legal professionals.
AI Readiness Assessment
The Assessment Model
Move from uncontrolled AI experimentation to governed AI adoption.
AI use is already spreading through law firms and professional services organisations. Some people are becoming highly capable, but the tools, data and working methods involved are not always visible, consistent or governed. That creates a simple problem: capability can move faster than control. Legally Fond establishes where you stand, identifies what needs attention, and determines whether there is a real AI workflow ready to move forward.
Readiness is not the destination — it tells you what you are ready to do next. We assess two things separately: how effectively your organisation can use AI, and how reliably it can govern that use.
Capability
The skills, workflows, and tools that turn AI into useful, repeatable work.
Control
The accountability, data boundaries, approved tools, and oversight that keep that work governed.
We examine both axes across four dimensions:
Do people understand the tools, their responsibilities, and how to use AI effectively?
Is AI being incorporated into defined workflows, or is adoption still largely individual and experimental?
Does the organisation understand what information is entering AI systems, what can be shared, and where controls are required?
Are the right tools available, appropriately configured, and capable of supporting the organisation's intended use?
AI Readiness Level (ARL)
Your overall AI Readiness Level (ARL) is constrained by the weaker axis. Capability at Level 4 and Control at Level 2 produces an evidenced ARL of 2. We show the gap and the evidence behind it, so leadership can see where capability and control are aligned, where they are not, and what needs attention.
The Launch Candidate
The Launch Candidate
Organisations rarely suffer from a shortage of AI ideas. The harder question is which one has earned the right to move forward. A Launch Candidate is a specific workflow for which there is sufficient evidence of value, feasibility, and governability to justify moving towards controlled implementation. Launch Candidate is a status that has to be earned — and sometimes the right conclusion is: no Launch Candidate yet. That is not a failed review. It means the evidence has identified precisely what needs to change before the organisation should proceed.
The method
Assess. Decide. Implement. Measure.
Not every client needs every stage. The AI Governance Review stands alone — you can act on everything internally with no requirement to engage Legally Fond further.
AI Governance Review
Where are we now?
Establish the evidence. Assess Capability and Control across People, Process, Data and Technology. Determine the AI Readiness Level. Identify the material gaps and management decisions. Then answer the Launch Candidate question.
AI Readiness Roadmap
Where should we go next?
Connect business priorities to workflows, controls and delivery constraints. Make Start, Stop, Continue and Edit decisions and structure the Launch Candidate for implementation.
Implementation & Reassessment
How do we make progress stick?
Put the Launch Candidate into controlled use. Establish the baseline, implement the necessary controls, support adoption and measure what actually changes. Then reassess.
